1.Algae :-  Algae is the name given to a large and diverse group of oxygenic, phototrophic, eukaryotic microorganisms. Algae are eukaryotic, which means they have a nucleus. This differentiates them from bacteria and photosynthetic Cyanobacteria





2.Antibiotics :- Antibiotics is a medicine which kill or stop the growth of the diseases causing microorganism in human and animals.

3.Antibodies :- When a disease- carrying microbe enters our body, the body produces Antibodies .





4.Bacteria :- Bacteria are microscopic,single-celled organism that exist in their millions, in every environment.


5.Carrier :- Those organisms that are infected with an infectious disease agent and capable of transmitting the disease to healthy organisms.





6.Communicable Diseases :- The disease that can spread from infected person to a healthy person through air water food or physical contact are called communicable diseases.






7.Fermentation :- The process of conversion of sugar into alcohol is known as fermentation.

8.Fungi :- Plant like organism that do not contain chlorophyll are called fungi.


9.Lactobicillus :- A bacterial microorganism help us in turning milk into curd.





10. Nitrogen cycle :- Nitrogen cycle is a biogeochemical cycle by which nitrogen gas is converted into various chemical form.




11.Nitrogen Fixation :-The conversion of atmospheric nitrogen into nitrogenous compound is called nitrogen fixation.





12. Pasteurization :- It is the process of heating milk to destroy potential harmful pathogens.





13. Pathogens :- Some of the microorganisms cause diseases in human beings , plant and animal. Such diseases causing microorganism are called pathogens.





14. Preservation :- The process in which the food materials are given a suitable physical or chemical treatment to prevent their spoilage is called  Preservation.




15.Protozoa :-Protozoa are unicellular microorganisms similar to animals that can move about to capture food and are heterotrophic in nature. They are mostly aquatic in nature.Amoeba , paramecium are some example of protozoa.




16.Vaccine :- A vaccine is an inactivated form of bacteria or virus that is injected into the body to simulate an actual infection.





17. Virus :- Viruses are microorganism that come alive only when inside a host organism .The host organism could be a bacterium ,plant or animal. Viruses consist of nucleic acid and protein coat.For example  Corona virus, chicken pox,AIDS etc.





18.Yeast :-yeast is a kind of fungus which is used to make bread rise and in making alcohol drink such as beer.
